Love And Lives Lost

I’ll say it’s been a long time since I posted as you can see. Sometimes life seems so routine even though a great deal of drama is at work behind the scenes.
Since I last scribed here we’ve suffered a break in our relationship and a figurative loss of two lives resulting from the break. Zac chose to align himself and live with a buddy of his over his life here because the simple rule book I had could not be followed.
It took less than a month for him to end up in the ICU at Baylor Medical Center Dallas with injuries that should have killed him. He lived but there is a very high physical cost associated with life saving miracles and he’ll be hobbled for the rest of his life with It. He’s been there 5 weeks today with months worth of rehab ahead. His buddy was driving a motor scooter drunk, ran a red light and caused a collision that resulted in the injuries. He ran from the scene leaving Zac in the road to die. Thank goodness the people that hit them called 911, caught him, held him until he was arrested and filed the necessary assault charge. (Another life lost to prison if convicted because of the charges involved. ( it’s in the accident report. Public record folks.)
I’m a bit disturbed by this post so ill continue tomorrow. Please avoid driving drunk or drugged and you’ll be a Hero.
